Three-Piece Piano Leg Dolly Set - Leave Wheels on Piano

The Three-Piece Piano Leg Dolly Set is designed to support a piano during transport and repositioning by placing one dolly beneath each leg. This configuration allows the instrument to be moved within studios, homes, showrooms, performance venues, and other indoor environments.

A key feature of this design is that the piano's existing wheels remain in place during use (meaning you do not need to remove the piano wheel to use it with this dolly). Each piano wheel rests inside a felt-lined center cup measuring 6" x 5", helping protect the wheel while providing room for the piano leg. To use these dollies, you just slide them under the legs of your piano--no other installation necessary. Before ordering, check that your piano's existing casters will fit securely inside the 6" × 5" felt-lined cups.

Smooth-Rolling Rubber Wheels with Locks

Constructed from steel and equipped with dual rubber-wheel swivel casters, each dolly is designed to provide stable support and smooth movement across suitable floor surfaces. The casters utilize ball bearings for improved rolling performance. One caster on each dolly includes a locking mechanism to help secure the piano when it is in its desired location. Each individual wheel is 1.5" in diameter x 3/4" width (making the dual wheel caster a total of 1-1/2" wide).

Sometimes referred to as a grand piano trolley set, this style of piano moving equipment is useful for repositioning grand pianos within suitable indoor spaces, including homes, music studios, and piano display areas.

Why We Like These Piano Leg Dollies

For many years, traditional individual piano leg dollies required removing the piano's original casters. These older-style dollies used a center pin that fit into the hole in the piano leg where the original caster had been installed. While this provided a secure connection, removing the piano's casters wasn't always easy and could make installation time-consuming.

These newer-style piano leg dollies offer a much more convenient alternative. Instead of removing the original casters, the piano's existing wheels simply rest inside the dolly's caster cups.
