Yamaha N3 and N3X Dolly — Jansen J4002 Digital Grand Piano Dolly
Yamaha N3 and N3X Dolly — Jansen J4002 Digital Grand Piano Dolly is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Purpose-built for the Yamaha AvantGrand N3 and N3X, along with select versions of the Roland V-Grand digital piano.
The Yamaha AvantGrand N3 and N3X are unlike any other digital piano on the market. With a true grand piano body, three angled legs, and a weight of 360–440 lbs, standard digital piano dollies simply won't fit. The Jansen J4002 is engineered specifically for this instrument, cradling each leg individually in a three-arm spider configuration so the piano moves safely, rolls smoothly, and stays put when it needs to.
Manufactured in the United States by Paul Jansen & Son, the J4002 is built to the same heavy-gauge steel standard as every piece of Jansen piano moving equipment — designed to last as long as the instrument it supports. Used by universities, conservatories, performance venues, and discerning home users.

Why Purchase the Jansen J4002 N3 Digital Grand Piano Dolly
- Purpose-built for the N3 chassis. Three precision-fitted arms mirror the N3's angled leg positions — no makeshift adapters, no universal frames that don't quite fit.
- 24½" and 32" steel sleeves. The dual-sleeve arm design spans from the center hub to each leg precisely, keeping the piano balanced and stable during movement.
- Three heavy-duty swivel casters. Ball-bearing wheels roll smoothly across hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet without marking or gouging your floors.
- Standard L-Bend brackets at each leg. Engineered brackets cradle each leg base securely, preventing lateral shift during transport or play.
- Heavy-gauge steel with black powder coat finish. Built to support a piano exceeding 460 lbs without flex, warp, or failure over years of use.
- Permanent installation ready. Once assembled, the J4002 can remain under the piano indefinitely — ideal for homes, schools, churches, and studios that reposition the piano regularly.
- All hardware included. Every bolt, nut, and cup required for complete assembly ships in the box. No hardware store run needed.
- Made in the USA by Jansen. The same craftsmanship behind Jansen benches, dollies, and piano accessories for over 50 years.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose an American-made Jansen piano dolly over imported models?
Why choose an American-made Jansen piano dolly over imported models?
Jansen dollies are built in the USA from premium steel that won’t bend or warp under pressure — unlike cheaper imported options. They also use larger, non-marking rubber wheels that glide smoothly and protect your floors. Trusted by schools and concert halls for a reason.

What sets Jansen piano dolly wheels apart from other brands?
What sets Jansen piano dolly wheels apart from other brands?
Jansen uses high-quality, dense rubber that won’t crack, flatten, or leave marks over time. Unlike cheaper wheels made with hard, brittle rubber, ours maintain their shape under heavy weight and roll smoothly across hardwood, tile, or carpet — protecting your floors and your piano.
Are larger piano dolly wheels better for moving pianos?
Are larger piano dolly wheels better for moving pianos?
Yes. Jansen uses oversized wheels that make it easier to move heavy pianos across carpet, tile, or hardwood — reducing strain and preventing damage. Our competition uses smaller, more inexpensive wheels, making it more difficult to move your piano.
Can the piano be played while it's on the dolly?

Can a piano dolly be used on carpet, hardwood, or tile?
Quality piano dollies with non-marking rubber wheels can safely roll on hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet. For plush carpet or uneven surfaces, larger wheels are better for stability and ease of movement.
