The Jansen Duet Petite Artist Bench is the highest quality, American made duet petite artist bench available on today's market. The duet piano bench is constructed of hardwood maple from the East Coast of the USA (known for it's beautiful wood grain), and is supported with heavy-duty brass hardware. The upholstered top uses the highest-end furniture grade vinyl or genuine leather, and the padding of the bench is an extra-thick, firm polyester foam which will not break down over time.

Petite artist benches are ideally suited for Baby Grand pianos, uprights, or anywhere where a smaller sized bench fits better. Many people find the more conservative top design (compared to the diamond-tufted top on standard artist benches), is better suited for their particular needs.

If you need a different overall height for the artist bench, we can shorten or lengthen the leg styles by 1 or 2 inches on the J2 (Brass Ferrule), J3 (Spade) and J4 (Square Tapered) piano legs.

Refined over the past 60 years, the silent, solid steel "Micro-A-Just" close-tolerance lift mechanism features precision, durability and convenient height adjustment from 18" to 21". Made of solid steel, it is the highest quality adjustment mechanism on the market, and is the only recommended adjustment system for situations where the bench will be frequently used and adjusted, such as schools, universities, churches, performance halls, etc. The superior accordion style design is not found in any other benches. Furthermore, replacement parts are available, so if years from now you begin to feel any wobble in the bench, a new set of bushings and shoulder bolts will have your mechanism back to new.

Petite Artist Bench Vs. Duet Petite Artist Bench:

In our opinion, if you are choosing between the Jansen Petite Artist Bench and the duet artist bench, you should go with the duet model. The duet bench looks more proportional to your piano, especially if you have a larger upright or baby grand.

In business for over 50 years, Jansen is world renowned for their piano benches, and as such are contracted by Steinway, Baldwin and Yamaha to produce benches for their pianos. Simply put, when you are buying a Jansen, you are buying the absolute best.

Advice: If you are ordering a Mahogany piano bench, it looks best with either the brown vinyl top, or the burgundy leather top. The brown leather top does not go particularly well with the mahogany.
